Simona Haiduc, VP of International Business Development, Opportunity International – As Vice President of International Business Development, Simona oversees IBD’s Program and Knowledge Management teams. In this role she supervises the planning, funds placement and management, monitoring/evaluation process and learning agendas for major grants from private and technical donors. Simona also manages relationships and builds business development strategies with strategic government agencies, multilateral donor institutions, corporations and large foundations including the Gates Foundation, the MasterCard Foundation, Credit Suisse, John Deere, Visa, Cisco, MetLife, USAID and UNCDF. Prior to joining Opportunity in 2003, Simona managed the microcredit program for the Open Society/Soros Foundation in Romania. She holds an M.Sc. in Management of International Organizations from New York University.
